Okay that doesn't work! Not the keto, my awesome name from day two doesn't translate into day three...
Well, here we are at the end of another keto day... and I feel fine (hey that should be a song lyric!). But it's not without it's challenges!
Today I had a client meeting over lunch... well, that was usually my Achilles heal - "it's just a lunch, I can't not eat something similar to the client, need to make them feel ok about what they eat / drink". Well that old school thought is no more... A steak salad and water for me, and to tell you the truth, I was VERY full. Not some "oh this diet is great I'm so full (GIVE ME A CARB NOW OR I'LL KILL YOU)" full, a genuine, "I'm half way through this and I don't know if I can eat too much more" full (if you're wondering, yes I did eat it all!).
So I'm sticking to it - about the half way mark of week one... they say the first week is the hardest, so I'm happy to not be regretting this (yet!). With any luck I won't regret it at all!

Is this a mis-steak?
I also grabbed some beef jerky last night and had that for a snack this afternoon. No carb, high protein, a little low on the fat, but that's okay with the high protein. I've decided to make some for myself for next week.
Speaking of next week, I've put together my meal plan. Cauliflower fried rice (with bacon and chicken) for dinners, and steak salad (yeah I liked lunch today) for lunches. Throw in the trusty almonds and my new jerky and I'm all set.
I am still NEEDING the carbonated water. To the extent that I have taken down my sodastream and it now sits next to my desk at work.

Drinking soft drinks has been a think I've done for years, and breaking that habit is hard... Am I trying to do too much at once? Maybe. And I know sugar free soft drinks are keto friendly... but they're not "good" for me, so if I'm making life changing dietary habits, then why not try and encapsulate everything at once?
