That's right folks - you heard it here... well... second, I updated the website and put something on facebook yesterday, but hey, I was excited!

Hail and Well Met is releasing two that's right, TWO additional podcasts!

Our awesome artists (check out her work here: http://incarnadi.net/) has completed the podcast logos for another two audio dramas that we are releasing:

Jake Tanner - Private Investigator

and

A Holiday Mystery

Here's a (very) brief concept outline for them both:

Jake Tanner came about as a joke with one of my work colleagues when another one wore a hat that reminded us both of an old school 1940's film noir private eye. The joke was always that we would one day write something about him. Well this is the evolution of that origin. So very far removed from the original joke, it is now a serious noir themed mystery audio drama that follows the life of Jake as he hunts down clues and solves crimes. I won't go into too much detail on the initial proposed story line as I think one can lend itself to an ongoing series. There's a bit of work to be done on this one, including finalising voice actors, getting content written and firming up on an approach. Expect this one in a few months time, but a teaser might be out sooner!

A Holiday Mystery is not my original work, but rather that of my father, Kevin. He wrote my brother and I a story back in the 90s. Dad died many years ago - but for father's day a few years back my sister, Kirsty, edited the novel for print and did a very small publication of it to the immediate family (suffice to say that many a tear was shed that day)! It's from the edited work that I've been adapting the story for audio, making changes here and there so that the speech sounds a little bit more natural, and that the characters are telling you what's going on (in place of the narrator's constant omniscience). This one is being kept in the family, with all the recording, voice actors, and editing being family members! We'll be releasing each chapter (roughly 15 minutes of audio content) and because of the smaller length, I want to release it weekly. That's a commitment so I want to make sure we have recorded, edited and prepared enough content to keep up, so we might be a month or so away from a release there.

So, while you hopefully enjoy listening to the Guild of Adventurers be safe in the knowledge that more audio dramas are on their way!
